Description

Jostaberry is a cross between blackcurrant and gooseberry, and as such, it shares characteristics of both fruits. The shrub is vigorous and produces large, dark green leaves. Clusters of small, white flowers appear in late spring, yielding to large, dark berries in early to midsummer. Jostaberries are much like gooseberries, but they are larger and have a sweeter flavor. The fruit can be eaten fresh or made into preserves, pies, and jams.
